A Bee will fly up to 6km to find water.
The lifespan of a worker Bee is 4-6 Weeks

Bees are in trouble !!!

It is a fact that bees are dying from a variety of factors – pesticides, drought, habitat destructions, nutrition deficit, air pollution and global warming.
One of the most overlooked areas is the Bee’s need for water, especially in the hot/dryer seasons.
They navigate to water sources where ever they can find them.
In the urban areas, this means SWIMMING POOLS.
Due to them not having a safe way to drink from the pool, hundreds of millions DIE every year

Bee Island In Action

The Motivation

Bee Island was designed based on a passion for Bees. Bees are highly endangered, they are under threat, and every single bee we save makes a difference. Bees require water, not only to drink but as an element in the product on of their food. Honey Bees will fly up to 6km to find water especially in the dry season. Based on that – we had to find a way to help them.

Hundreds of thousands of Bees drown in swimming pools every year.

The Goal

To save as many bees as possible, by getting Bee Island into as many swimming pools as possible.
